heavy rain, and its production area is mainly in monsoon-Asia.
Monsoon-Asia is a region of Asia that is affected by monsoon
and has heavy rainfall especially in summer, and corresponds
to East Asia excluding western China from Mongolia, the entire
Southeast Asia, and South Asia excluding Pakistan. Production
in the region accounts for about 90% of the world's rice production.
